OPEN REGISTRATION
April 2nd-  June 9th
Players registering after midnight on June 9th will be waitlisted and are not guaranteed a space on a team this season.

Teams are formed over the summer and families will hear from their coaches in early September 2025  
Fall Season begins Saturday September 6th for U6 and Saturday September 13th for all other divisions. Teams practice during the week and play on Saturdays or Wednesday night (U12 and older only)

AGE DIVISIONS
U6 teams play at Hawthorne Elementary. U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 divisions play at Damon Garcia.
The division your player is placed in will be determined based on their age on December 31, 2025. If your player is 7 on December 31st, 2025  they play in U8. If your player is 13 on December 31, 2025 they will be in the 14U division.

6U - 18U divisions:  $125
EPIC division: $50

SIBLINGS DISCOUNT
If you are registering more than two players, third, forth and subsequent players pay the AYSO National Fee of $25 per player.   
Family members must live in the same household and be registered in the same transaction. No code necessary.

PEAK (Promoting ExtraCurricular Activities for Kids) is a local 501c3 providing additional financial assistance for qualifying students in San Luis Obispo: peakslo.org

It is the goal of Region 599 and a fundamental philosophy of AYSO that every child who wants to play soccer is able to do so. Scholarships are available to families who can demonstrate financial need by providing proof of current government financial aid such as a CENCAL card or a letter from their schools.

WAITLIST INFORMATION

The waitlist is usually turned on after the regular registration deadline or if the maximum number (cut off number) has been reached prior to the last day of registration.

• We utilize the waitlist as a "pause button" to determine if we can make more teams or to "fill in" for dropped players.
• Moving off of the waitlist may take a few weeks and some patience, but you will be contacted via email if your player has been "activated" from the waitlist.
• Once you are activated from the waitlist, you have 48 hours to pay to get your child on the team at that point.
• No player that registers is guaranteed to play, as this is ALWAYS based on the number of VOLUNTEER coaches that are available for your child's division.
• It's possible that a player can jump off of the waitlist if a parent of a waitlisted player volunteers to be a HEAD coach for the division where coaches are still needed. Please contact us if interested. 
• Players are put back on the waitlist in a backwards chronological order to instill fairness for our process, if we run out of volunteer coaches.

Registration Fee Refund Policy
The deadline for refunds for the Region 599 core fall season is July 15th of each calendar
year. The refund request must be made in writing (e-mail or letter to P.O Box 368 SLO, CA
93406) to the Region 599 Registrar and/or Regional Commissioner on or before July 15th. The
refund will be for the amount of registration fee paid minus the AYSO National Fee which is not
refundable.
A refund will also be paid to those who move out of Region 599 or for children who become
medically unable to play prior to August 20th (for each Fall Season). Proof of new address or
verification in writing from player’s doctor will be required before refund can be made. The refund
will be for the amount of registration fee paid minus the AYSO National Fee which is not
refundable.
Once teams are formed by August 20th of each calendar year, NO refunds are offered. We will
not refund registration fees because a player is assigned to a team with an inconvenient practice
time or for other reasons related to the assigned team.
Please understand that we incur significant costs once your player is registered, including fees to
AYSO National, our AYSO Area, and the SLO Youth Sports Association for field use, as well as
uniform and equipment costs. In addition, late drops create significant challenges for coach
recruitment and team formation.
